Join the GardenKitchener community online for our February Seminar, featuring Alanna Groen-Brunsting of Green Corners, Ottawa’s largest “U-Pick” flower field!

Alanna will be sharing her knowledge on the process of “forcing” bulbs, allowing you to enjoy flowers such as tulips indoors, while the winter weather is still… wintering! A Zoom link will be sent out to all 2024 members the day before the seminar.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from a seasoned professional in the world of flowers!

About Alanna and Green Corners:

After years of working and traveling overseas, Allan Groen and Manja Bastian decided to add some colour to their “retirement” by opening Green Corners U-Pick Tulip Farm on a 13-acre property in Ottawa, Ontario. Inspired by their Dutch heritage, they started their flower fields with tulips and have since expanded to include seasonal flowers like sunflowers, snapdragons, and zinnias. Today, Green Corners is home to Ottawa’s largest “U-Pick” flower field!

Alanna Groen-Brunsting plays a vital role in the farm’s operations, managing its online presence, overseeing customer inquiries, and coordinating bulk cut-flower orders and wedding arrangements. Along with the rest of the dedicated Green Corners team, she is passionate about sharing the beauty of blooms with the community and creating a memorable experience for everyone who visits.
