Issues facing the urban forest and how best to protect and care for trees in your watershed

Join us at Seedy Saturday! Featuring Aaron Boonstra of REEP Green Solutions.

We will discuss ways to protect and promote wildlife through planting design and selection, care for new and mature trees, and manage stormwater in creative and ecologically valuable ways. There will be lots of photos and practical experience that will hopefully inspire you to take action in your yard or community this Spring!

Aaron obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from the University of Waterloo, where his love of nature started. He became an ISA certified arborist and now works with REEP to facilitate their backyard Tree Planting Program. He also performs work related to the conservation of mature trees, water protection and conservation, and environmental education and outreach.
